USTA Junior Team Tennis League
Spring Season Celebration
On Saturday, June 1, 2019, the DOCTA USTA Junior Team Tennis League held its playoffs and final celebration for the Spring Season across Durham and Orange Counties, at Chapel Hill Country Club, Hollow Rock Racquet and Swim Club, Hope Valley YMCA and Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, with great excitement in the air. With 336 youth and 48 teams for the Spring league, this was a major success for the growth of youth tennis in the area.
LeeAnn Rose, Junior Team Tennis Coordinator for Durham and Chapel Hill did an amazing job recruiting captains and players. She had great support from the board members of the Durham-Orange Community Tennis Association and the community. We salute all her efforts for a successful Spring 2019 USTA JTT Season as she gears up for the Fall. So, hats off to you, LeeAnn for your leadership!
Special Congratulations to all the teams--captains and players! Below are the Spring 2019 DOCTA USTA JTT League Championships. Please make sure you congratulate these teams. In appreciate, the Durham-Orange Community Tennis Association awarded each team a Championship or Finalist plaque and bag tags for each player on these teams. The Celebration included a pizza and ice cream party. Captains received or will receive a Captain's incentive up to $250 for helping to grow youth tennis and for the wonderful work they did in promoting and supporting their players and parents.
DOCTA truly wants to say, thank you to all the clubs, organizations and individuals who participated in USTA JTT for Spring 2019.
